How to Build an Accent Table, Part 3: Table Top & Finish

The Lowe’s Shop Class host, Keith Flippen, demonstrates how to add a table top and finish the accent table in Part 3 of this video series. For this video, you will need the center piece and 4 pieces of nosing to finish off the top. First, cut the top and test the fit. Make sure the top is flush with the leg edges. Add glue and attach the top with finishing nails. Then, cut the nosing pieces to width. Next, cut angles on the nosing ends so they will meet squarely. Then, apply glue and attach the nosing pieces with finishing nails. To finish the end table, fill in any holes and sand. Add a coat of urethane and put furniture glides at the bottom of each table leg. Now your table is ready to be displayed in your home!
